More than you ever wanted to know about me...
Hmmm, this has been going around on my LJ page and I figured I'd give it a shot. I don't bother much with memes or surveys and the like, most are not really well done, and the results rarely meet either my view, or offer what to me is a believable view. While I'm still reading the results as I type this, I must say that this is a surprisingly accurate view of me. I pride m'self on having sat down and taking an honest and critical look at who I am and what I want to accomplish in my life, so I'd like to think I've a very clear and accurate image of m'self. Any how, enjoy the results...

Pantry Raid Chili
Ok, I decided to whip up some chili, decided over a week ago, but didn't have time to make it until now. It was supposed to be this with a couple tweaks:
1 # lean ground beef
1 sm onion chopped
1 tsp salt
1 or 2 tsp chili powder
1 bay leaf
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
2 16 oz cans kidney beans drained
Planned tweaks were to make it hotter, adding an extra TSP of chili powder and some hot sauce. Unplanned tweaks were the use of a can of great northern beans as I didn't have two cans of kidney beans. Unexpectedly, I was short the Worcestshire sauce (what is that any way?), so I went without. And then there's the sauce, used 16 ounces of sketti sauce from a jar, in this case, Preggo with mushrooms was all we had. Oh, and I use ground pork, it tastes fine, and its cheaper than ground beef.
Guess we'll find out how the chili tastes in a few minutes, hmmm?
What's this, oh look, an update..
Ok, this thing's getting as bad as my old LJ, isn't it? Didn't help that I wiped my HD and had a touch of trouble finding the Blogger widget so I could do entries. Lets try to fix that up with a quicky here.
Ok, life in general is life, I'm not an artist nor a writer nor one with any other creative talents, so I don't have regular stupendously interesting things happening in my life.
Mind you, when your job consists of driving around a huge part of the Valley of the Sun, you do see things, such as the guy on the side of the Carefree Highway changing the rear axle of his truck. Yes, the entire axle on a duly truck... mKay. Or going past a private road, This Way. ((snickers)) Almost as good as my desire to have a private road named Juan Way.
Or how about an office building by the name of Anacona? I first read it as Anaconda, though I guess that would be a mob owned building, pay your rent or they put the squeeze on you.
On the wheels front, for those that don't know, I ride a KYMCo Vitality (http://www.kymcousa.com/showroom/scooters/vitality50/index.html) as my sole transport. Problem is that's a small sport scooter, big for a 50, but like any sport scooter its not really all that big. Try riding this thing for 3+ hours around the valley on that, no good, leg cramps are very bad. My dealer has a Moto Cooper kicking around with 300 miles on it, looks sharp, and they've nailed down all the problems except the unreliable fuel sending unit. Should be better, the 150 will give me more speed, the larger wheels and over all larger size should be comfortable for wandering.
Well, that's basically the news for now, but we'll try to be good and keep up from now on.
Music I want
Ok, this is rather interesting, there seems to be a sudden influx of good ad music. What I mean by this is that usually ads use studio musicians when they can't afford to use an original recording. Of course then they try to stay as close to the original then. So this time what we have are some very good covers coming out of what is presumably studio muscians, such as 'We Belong' for a Holiday Inn ad (IIRC). Now what I need to know is where I can get these cool songs.
Also what about this thing: http://streamos.atlrec.com/qtime/atlantic/gnarls_barkley/video/crazy/crazy-500.mov I followed a link from an LJ, and I'm wondering how I can get the song, its quite good (and the video is neat too).
Desktop naugtiness
Ok, been having a bit of a trouble with my desktop, mostly with the trackball and keyboard winding up too close... I mean really too close. Is there something going on here when I'm not around? Let me guess, one day I'm going to come home and find a neumeric keypad sitting on my desk with marbles for keys.
Super Retailer!!!
Ok, I'm not one to say much about the companies I shop from, usually I take the lowest price and put up with the lowest service, but every now and then you find a gem.
This one is eWiz.com I found them when Froogling for a new USB to Ethernet adaptor for our TIVO, the crap compact Linksys one they sent broke when we moved the box. Lets see, around $30 for that adapter via Tivo, so what'd I replace it with? Some no name unit (Part number ST-USB/ETH) from eWizz for $12.50 plus shipping (another $6.50 for USPS priority mail). Hooked it up and all is well. Not only that, ordered it Friday evening, prolly around 7 or 8PM our time and received it today. Yes, today, that's very fast shipping for very little money really. Total package was about $10 cheaper than TV, better build quality, actually a little box on a USB cord, rather than that memory key wannabe Linksys crap. Reliability is obviously up in the air, but so far it looks very good, worked fine with the TIVO. Let me say, they're going to see a fair amount of my money over there when I need stuff, no question.
Ok, I would've preffered fairy, but I guess I can settle for this.

What type of Fae are you?
